Green Deer becomes the main owner of Värmdal & Traktorservice.

Green Deer Holding, the largest owner of Bil & Traktor, Svenssons Motor and Agro Maskiner Gotland, has acquired a majority of the shares in Värmdal & Traktorservice. Värmdal has 60 employees working on operations in Karlstad, Kumla, Årjäng and Mellerud with a turnover of about 320 MSEK.

After the merger, the Group will have approximately 200 employees and a turnover of 1,000 MSEK.

It will conduct sales and service of mainly John Deere from 12 facilities in central Sweden. The acquisition is a step in the consolidation that characterizes the industry and makes the Green Deer Group Sweden's largest reseller of John Deere.

Hans Pousette, representing Green Deers' largest owner, comments:

“We are happy to have reached an agreement with Värmdal after several years of interest. It is an important step in our quest to grow with John Deere and the merger will make us even stronger. Our ambition is to continue to offer Värmdal's customers high-quality service at the same time as we strengthen our opportunities to develop ourselves and our customers in the new technology that is becoming increasingly important for the agricultural sector”.

Hans Gustavson Värmdal comments:

“Värmdal's employees welcome our new main owner. Being part of the Green Deer Group will give us better conditions at all levels. We completely agree with our new owner that our business and our customers are mainly local and that our main task is to provide the best possible service in the local market”.

Sebastian Hoeck John Deere comments:

“We see this as a very positive and strategically important step in the realization of our strategy for the future dealer network. The merger of two of our most important Swedish dealer groups will create a solid base to meet higher demands from increasingly specialized customers”.

The transaction requires approval from the Swedish Competition Authority.
